The church in Corinth was an undisciplined church, and he was letting them know that even though the culture around them was in flux, their faith in Jesus Christ needed to remain focused and sure. Paul’s letter to the people at Corinth was an exhortation to remain steadfast. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. The creation is both a monument of God’s power, and a looking-glass in which we may see his wisdom. When you see opportunities to care for creation-nature or your own body-do so as a way of glorifying the Creator. Paul writes that we belong to God and we are to glorify Him with our care and use of our body. And that mandate extends to our personal life as well. When God’s mandates go unfulfilled on earth, God’s glory is diminished. Though mankind was given the mandate to “have dominion over” (that is, to care for) all of creation, we have not done a good job. Such images are in stark contrast to the pristine beauty and glory of Eden as presented in Genesis. Fish become entangled in discarded fishing nets and lines, with bellies full of plastic debris they have swallowed. Many countries’ coastlines are littered with plastic and debris, and there is an “island” of plastic more than the twice the size of Texas in the Pacific Ocean where currents have accumulated the debris. Marine litter is a huge ecological problem. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply fill the earth and subdue it have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20) Continue your study of biblical prophecy with these other popular articles by David Jeremiah: Seven Churches of Revelation Bible Study Becoming a Cashless Society-A Financial Sign of the End Times What Is the Tribulation? Genesis marks the beginning of time, and Revelation marks the end. In our modern translations, some of the books do not appear in chronological order, but we’ve got the beginning and ending placed correctly. The Bible is God’s story of redemption and reconciliation. The following eight Bible passages provide the best information regarding Jesus Christ’s imminent return and Rapture of the Church. Revelation 12:5: her Child was caught up to God John 10:29: no one is able to snatch themĪcts 8:39: the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away,Ģ Corinthians 12:2: a man… was caught up to the third heavenĢ Corinthians 12:4: he was caught up into Paradiseġ Thessalonians 4:17: shall be caught up together John 10:28: neither shall anyone snatch them Harpazo occurs fourteen times in the New Testament with four variations of meaning, each contributing to our understanding of the Rapture. It wasn't a 'to be continued' ending, though, so the story was finished and for that, we were grateful. Our word Rapture derives from the Latin translation of 1 Thessalonians 4:17, which translates the Greek harpazo (to catch up or carry away) as rapiemur from the Latin rapio. She's in a deep sleep she can't escape until she unlocks her memories, which involve the deaths of people very close to her. Through an accident, a woman finds herself in the hospital. Even with it's simplicity, no one squeamish or underage should probably play it - the story is very dark. The hidden object aspect is fun, although very easy. We'd like to see developers at least put The End at the end of a game so we know it's coming. It has an interesting story with a couple of twists and turns we didn't see coming, although it ends abruptly, a trend we're seeing more and more of that needs to end. Echoes of Sorrow is a good hidden object title.
